Bye-Bye Paci

She finally did it.. Paige has said her final farewell to her beloved "paci." I know this sounds so ridiculous, but it makes me so sad! She's officially a big girl now!! She was only using her paci at night but, boy did she LOVE that thing! I was really dreading finally breaking her of it, but it surprisingly pretty easy. We told her 2 nights ago that the "paci fairy" was going to be making a visit to get all the paci's and take them to all the little babies that don't have any. She was all for it saying " those babies can have my paci's cuz I a BIG girl now, mommy!" I tucked her in a few hours ago.. Night #2 paci free.. these little milestones (I think they're milestones) are SO bittersweet!

5 years...

On Friday, (January 14th) James and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary! All I can say is WOW! I cannot believe 5 years has passed since our wedding! I can honestly say that I love him more today than I ever have. We have been though SO much in the 5 short years we've been husband and wife. We have moved 5 times, we went through an ugly custody battle (and won:) over Kaylynn, we were bedside as his sweet Mom went to be with the Lord, we welcomed our 2 precious little bundles, we made it through our first deployment and so on. There is no other person that I would rather be on this life journey with. We are in such a good place right now and I can't wait to see what's in store for our future.
James and I decided that every 5 years, we would do something a little more than just your typical dinner and a movie date night.We were VERY fortunate to have my mom come and stay with Paige and Luke so we could have an overnight get away to San Diego! We stayed at Paradise Point on Mission Bay... BEAUTIFUL!!!

 Best part was when we opened the back door to our room, this is what we saw...

 After we arrived, we just walked around the resort and I was the crazy picture lady.

 See that thing, yeah we climbed it.. a bunch of stairs, at least I got somewhat of a workout in :)

 Another picture James thinks i'm crazy for.. lol. We stood and watched this father/son try and get into these kayaks for about 30 minutes. The dad kept yelling " just get your BUTT in!!" It was hilarious and I just had to snap a pic! I also thought the little dog in the life vest was so cute :)

 Later that night we headed over to Old Town San Diego for dinner and a comedy show.

We had SUCH a great time! Happy Anniversary James! 5 years down, only about 100 more to go!

Flashback Friday

SOOO Happy!

Paige was SO happy to be back at gymnastics yesterday!!                                    

 The 2 week break for the holidays was just WAY too long!

 But she got right back into it!

 My future olympic champion :)

 WEEEE!!!

 What made it even better was our special visitors that came and watched! Thanks for coming Grammy, Grampy and Auntie Becca!

Our wild and crazy night started off with a family dinner at Red Robin.. woo hoo!! :)

 After dinner we headed home, got in our jammies and broke out the New Year hats and blow horns ( I think that's what they're called..?) The kids were having a BLAST!

 They really were having fun, despite the grumpy looks on their faces... or eyes, rather :)

With God's help I want to love others. I want to love my family and friends with a selfless love that focuses more on meeting their needs than my own.

With God's help I want to take risks in 2011, (and always) and live by FAITH and not by sight.
