So our New Years Eve is turning out to be quite uneventful. We stayed home because Luke has been sick off and on for about 2 weeks and I also have mastitis.. yuck! Oh yes, Mr.Luke decided he no longer wants to nurse and so i'm having a hard time with that.. PAIN and FEVER = NOT FUN!! Anyways, since the babies are in bed I thought i'd do a little 2009 review. Not too much going on, but the stuff that did happen were pretty big things!! Heres a little look back..... :)

James and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary.. and we'll be celebrating our 4th in about 2 wks

James got promoted to Staff Sergeant


I became a Mommy for the second time... James and I welcomed our second little blessing into the world!

As you can see we were truly blessed this past year (and always)... I'm honestly not looking forward to 2010 because of James deploying so soon. This year is going to be a hard one, this is going to be his first deployment since we've been together. One of my New Years resolutions is to just treasure and cherish every second I have with my loved ones.

Our Family Christmas

We had a GREAT Christmas! For the first time, Christmas (and Christmas Eve) was at our house. We had my parents, my grandparents and my sister over and had a lot of fun and lots of memories made. I took a TON of pictures but just posted a few here.. you get the general idea:) Of course, I once again forgot to get a family picture.. i'm so bad at that! My favorite part was just watching the kids faces as they opened up their goodies.. PRICELESS!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve started off with James making us a yummy french toast breakfast.... there are no pictures of it because it was just devoured too quickly :)

We then got to work on making some cookies... we usually make them in the begining of the month but with James being gone one weekend, his family being here another.. Christmas eve was the day!

A new tradition we started this year.. the kids get to open up one present Christmas Eve from mommy and daddy.. it's always going to be Christmas pj's to wear to bed while they wait for Santa.. hopefully always matching, i'm sure they'll LOVE that when they're older!

Family visit for the Holidays

A few weeks ago ( I know, im a little behind on my blogging) James' family came and kept us company for a few days! In our house we had James' grandma, his sister Eryn and his sister Shauna and her 2 kids.. Jackson and Shannon. His Dad and Stepmom were also in town and they stayed at a local hotel.... we had a very FULL house but we had a blast! Our original plan was to get all the kiddos out to disneyland but that didn't work out because of the rain. We just hung out around the house, did a little shopping, had a gift exchange and just had a great visit.

Seriously?!?

No, SERIOUSLY!! Is my baby really 9 months old already?!?! I know this sounds so cliche.. but really, where has the time gone?!? Time is FLYING by with this little man! He has brought so much joy into mine and James' life and we're just trying to soak it all up and enjoy every precious moment because we all know that time goes by WAY too fast! He is such a happy, cuddly boy.. I LOVE it! He still isn't consistent on sleeping through the night.. getting better.. but he's turning into quite the good napper! Even though he isn't actually crawling yet, he gets around pretty well and is into EVERYTHING!! He loves to eat.. i'm not sure on his actual weight but it's well over 20lbs.. he doesnt get his well baby exam until January (I just changed their pediatrician) and I will post his stats after his appt. He is quickly growing out of size 12 months and getting into size 18months clothes!! I'm so blessed to be able to stay home and watch my babies grow.. and i'm enjoying every minute of it. Luke Thomas, you are such a blessing in my life and i'm so proud to say you're MINE! I love you sosososo much!

It's official, Christmas is right around the corner! And I LOVE it!! Anyone who knows me knows that i'm a Christmas NUT! Here are some of my most favorite things about CHRISTMAS!

• Christmas music... love it, can't get enough of it!
• Decorations.. in my home, at the mall.. everywhere!
• Christmas trees.. so pretty!
• Making sugar cookies
• Making memories with friends and family
• Getting Christmas cards in the mail.. especially if there are pictures!
• Sending Christmas cards
• Watching the kids open their gifts.. but mostly teaching them what Christmas is all about.. Jesus IS the reason for the season!
• The movies.. I could watch them year round
• Peppermint white chocolate mochas from Starbucks
• And I absolutely LOVE the fact that Paige has to kiss the Christmas tree goodnight before going to bed.. so cute!

Happy Birthday Kaylynn!

On Saturday, Kaylynn turned the big 7! To celebrate, Grace came and stayed the night w/Kaylynn and we took them out for dinner to Red Robin (Kaylynns choice) and then bowling. They had a great time! Then, on Sunday we had the family and a few close friends over for presents, pizza and ice cream cake. She got a lot of cute things and had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who helped celebrate!
