We had about 10 days in between the time of moving out of our house and having our temporary rental available to us. Instead of staying all 10 nights at my Grandparents house, we took the opportunity of taking a mini vacation and spent 2 nights out on Del Mar beach at Camp Pendleton. It was BEAUTIFUL and SO.MUCH.FUN!

This was our patio area right outside. Just a few feet ahead was also a firepit that we took full advantage of :)

I was surprised how much Paige and Luke LOVED the sand. Last time we went to the beach, they were NOT happy campers! This time, they were all in heaven and were so well behaved!

Day 2 was just as beautiful and fun!
The kids spent a lot more time in the water the second day.. they had a blast, we ALL did!
And of course we had some yummy food!

We decided against a fire pit/s'mores the second night and all went to bed somewhat early because we surprised the kids with Disneyland the next morning and wanted to make sure we didn't have 3 grumps in tow :) We had SO much fun on this beach trip and are thinking of going again for a few more nights before the summer is over!
