Anyways, hop on over to her blog and enter! So here is my most favorite picture i've taken.. I'm not sure if it's my favorite because of my oh-so great photography skills, or because of the significance of the photo. This picture is of my baby girl and her great-grandpa or "paw-paw" as she calls him. I think it's one of the sweetest things i've ever seen... Both of them laying on a blanket looking out the sliding glass door at obviously the same thing. When I look at it I wonder what they're both thinking and I also just beam with happiness at the fact that i'm lucky enough to see my grandpa with his great-grandaughter..

Happy Birthday James!

Today is my hubby's 31st birthday! I know I know, he's so old, and i'm so young :) We're planning on having a small family get together this weekend but, tonight we were able to go out to dinner and we spent like 45 minutes at pechanga casino. I'm not really into casinos... money goes waaay too fast! I took one picture and that was of us walking into the casino about 50 dollars richer than when we came out... oh well:) Anyways, Happy birthday James.. I love you and i'm soo thankful for you!!

We made it!!

Through recruiting that is!! This has been a rough 3 years but we are so thankful that God has pulled us through it. We have been through so much the past couple of years on this stressful duty James had. Here are just a few things to give you an idea of what's been going on :) We were married January 2006, that August we moved out to the pasadena area where James started recruiting. September 29th, we lost James' sweet mom to breast cancer... December began the big custody battle over Kaylynn.. January 2007 I got pregnant with Paige... May 2007, we moved again.. to be closer to my family and we also got full custody of Kaylynn that month. September 2007 Paige was born... July 2008, I got pregnant with Luke so in August we moved once again to a bigger house. Luke was born March of this year and then we started house hunting (there is now a light at the end of this recruiting tunnel!!) Well, we found our beautiful home, moved in a week ago and are in the process of getting settled! James goes back to working at his old unit at Camp Pendleton Sept. 1st. So, until then we are just going to have LOTS of family fun... something we've missed out on a lot the past 3 years!
We had my parents and grandparents over Saturday for our first little bbq in our new home.. James fired up the grill with some hamburgers and hot dogs.. we had a great time! I will post some pics of the house once all the boxes are out of the way:)

4 month update.. ok 4 1/2 month

So, I took Luke to his 4 month check up today... He's doing really well! He eats ALL the time so I knew he would have a big weight gain! The doctor said I could start him on rice cereal.. good thing she said that considering I already started him on it :) He likes it but after a few bites he gets really frustrated... too much work for him! Here are his 4 month stats:
Wt: 15lbs 12oz (what a beast!) Birth Wt: 8lbs 9oz.. already almost doubled!
Length: 26" Birth Length: 21 1/2"

In about 2 short months....

this precious little bundle is going to be TWO years old! Seriously where has the time gone?!? I know people say this all the time, but it really does seem like yesterday when she was this little! This picture was taken when she was only 10 days old.. So so sweet! I love her SO much.. and my love only growns with each passing day. Anyone else get sad as their babies get older, or am I the only crazy one ?!? I love you my little Paigey-Poo!

Wordless Wednesday

4 years ago today....

James and I got engaged! Heres what happened... He took me out to dinner to Black Angus ( my favorite restaurant at the time.. since then, they've gotten rid of my fave dish..boo!) anyways.. the whole time he had a card for me tucked into his pants behind his shirt.. that sounded gross.. but it wasn't down his pants. So.. we were finished with our meal and he wanted to order dessert which he never wants to do.. of couse I was all for it :) So he ordered it and then all of a sudden had a "stomach ache"... he left and went to the "bathroom" Little did I know that he handed this card to our waitress. When he came back we started eating our dessert and the waitress handed me a white envelope. At first I was like ok why is she giving me the check?! So I opened it and it was a really nice card and at the bottom it said "Brandi you're the love of my life and my best friend, will you marry me?" By this time James was out of the booth on one knee with my ring! I of course said yes.. and the rest is history!

Happy 4th of July!

We spent our fourth this year at my parents house. We bbq's hamburgers and salmon, (yummy!!)we also had salad, beans, yummy fruit.. with my fruit dip of course and a super delish ice cream sandwich cake ( notice my weight loss ticker hasnt moved in a while:) After lunch, we just hung out and let Paige swim in the baby pool until dark and then walked to the park for a firework show. It was a lot of fun.. and it wore the babies out!
