Home is where the military sends us...

" For I know that plans I have for you, " declares the Lord, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11

Our family is gearing up for our next Military adventure. After 14 years of being in the same job field AND stationed at Camp Pendleton (with the exception of 3 years on recruiting duty) We decided that a job change would be the best career move for our family. James' current job is not promoting and the job opportunities for when he retires (in 6 years...EEK!) are just not there. So, he LAT moved (changed jobs) to a totally different field and with a job change comes new orders of where we will be stationed. In just 3 short days we will be heading to Twentynine Palms, CA. This was REALLY hard news for us when we first found out where we would be moving to. If any of you know military bases, James refers to this base and area as the "armpit" of all military bases. It is in the middle of the desert, very isolated with not so great schools and NO Target <----- priorities, right? :) BUT we also have realized (through A LOT of prayer) that what we have planned for ourselves isn't always what God has planned for us. We know that the Lord has GREAT plans for us and even though we don't understand everything that's going on, God knows EXACTLY what he's doing. So I am hopeful, excited and full of joy to see what is ahead for the Anderson family. I'm sure since I won't be spending any time at Target, that this blog will be getting a lot more attention :)

bittersweet day for us as we said goodbye our last day at Revival MOPS

Mother-Daughter Tea

Paige and I attended our first Mother-Daughter tea on Saturday, the day before Mother's Day. It was held at my friend Kelly's church. We have been friends for a little over 16 years... CrAzy!! Now here we are all grown up and adults (NO idea how THAT happened!) with our own beautiful little girls who are growing WAY too quickly!!
The yummy dessert that was on our table :)
The pretty girls, Gracie and Paigey
We had a lot of fun! The girls did a craft, we heard a cute story by Max Lucado, "You are Special" yummy desserts and great fellowship!
Thanks, girls!

Mother's Day

Today was special, relaxing and just so much fun :)
When we woke up, the kids and James showered me with gifts and cards.. (Clothes and Makeup.. my kind of gifts ) and then we headed to lunch with the rest of the family!
We ate at a family favorite, Steer n' Stein.. YUMMY!
Me and my precious babies enjoying our lunch :)
Here are the ultimate Mama's.. My Mom and Grandma. SO extremely thankful to have both of them in my life and my babies lives. They are SO good to us and we love them VERY much!!!
After lunch, Paige, James and myself headed to my grandparents pool for some fun and relaxation! Little man stayed back at the house and napped out his grumpiness.. well, he TRIED to nap it out :)
 FUN!
Such a blessed day with the ones I LOVE the most!!

Summer is right around the corner!

Last week we had a few days where the weather was just plain HOT so off to Grandma's house we go to have some pool and sun bathing time!
**These pictures were all taken with my iPhone and I clearly do NOT know how to work it yet.. I have no idea why my first pic is a normal size and why the rest are teeny tiny.. ? Help, anyone??**
Try to squint your eyes though and look at these cute pics :)

We had the pool all to ourselves except for these 2 ducks that flew in for a quick swim :)
( again, squint and you MIGHT be able to see the ducks)

Enjoying the water and sunshine!

I think this little diva will be my sun bathing buddy. She was completely happy sitting on the step of the pool and lounging on the chairs. So cute.
Summer is clearly right around the corner and we are SO excited for more afternoons like this one!
