Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Hope you all had a GREAT day! Luke on the other hand.. just doesn't like Saint Patricks day.. maybe green isn't his color...?

oh and this is how Paige came home from the childcare at the gym this morning.. cute little crafts they do there.. too bad the little green shamrock washed off to look like a big bruise on her cheek!!! Hopefully it's a little better tomorrow!!

My BIG boy!!

Luke had his 1 year well baby check up today and let me tell you.. he's off the charts! He is a BIG boy.. 25lbs 13 oz and 31 1/2 inches long.. WOW!! He is in the 95th percentile for his height and weight and his head measurement was off the charts..haha.. gotta have somewhere to put all those brains, right? :)

Also, the week before James left we had a little birthday party for Luke at our house. It was a cowboy themed party and he had a great time and got SO MUCH stuff.. especially clothes, which is what he needed most! I was coming down with strep throat and felt AWFUL that day so I hardly took any pictures! I was so upset with myself! I took more picture of the cupcakes than my baby!! Here are a few of the ones I took

and red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and milk chocolate horse molds.. soo yummy and soo cute!

My big 1 year old! He was NOT interested in the cake at all!!

Happy FIRST birthday Luke Thomas!!

1 year ago today another man took my breath away... Luke Thomas was born March 11, 2009 @ 6:02 pm. I'm so amazed at how quickly this year has flown by! Luke's first year seemed to go by so much faster than Paige's! This little man has brought SO much joy into our lives and I thank God every day for letting me be his Mommy. (and of course I did NOT cry while looking through these pics) Here are a few pics of when this precious little man first entered our lives 1 year ago today!!

(yes he is a little blue, he had a traumatic birth.. cord was wrapped around his neck.. poor thing!!)

Friday Catch Up

I totally thought I posted this right after we did it but oh well! :) A few weeks ago (back when we had some REALLY nice weather and NO RAIN a few days in a row!!) James and I decided to break out the firepit that we've had since the summer and never used and make some smores with the kids. They had a great time.. actually, James and I enjoyed it too!

Bring on September!!

So, I did it.. I said goodbye to my James on Friday :( It was actually a lot harder than I thought, not that I thought it was going to be easy but I guess I didn't really know what to expect. It already feels like he's been gone SO long when it really hasn't even started yet! Luckily, we have been able to use SKYPE (best thing EVER by the way) and hopefully when he gets to his final destination, we'll still be able to talk/see each other every once in a while. James and I are so blessed to have found such a great church right when we moved out here. I'm planning on keeping busy with MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) I attended my first meeting today and I already LOVE it!! Paige loves it too, her and Luke go to "moppets" (isnt that cute?!?) I will keep everyone updated with any info as I get it... Keep us in your prayers! I want him brought back home safely in September.... So, Bring on September!!
