Happy New Year!

James and I rung in the new year with my friend Jennifer who was here visiting from Virginia. We went out to eat at BJ's and then saw the movie seven pounds... pretty good movie (even though I was completely lost until about half way through) :) A big thanks to my parents who babysat that night!! Is it completely lame that i'm 26 and was ready for bed way before midnight?!? Here are some of my new years resolutions...

* Be in church EVERY sunday, read my bible EVERYDAY, and trust that God is ALWAYS in control.

* GYM, GYM, GYM!! which I do occasionally already but once this baby is born i'll be a hardcore gym junkie! I'm gonna be like Valerie Bertinelli next year.. wake up new years day and not have to make a single resolution about my weight because it's already in check! (love that commercial!)

* Have and capture more moments like this....

Yep, you read it right.. James has been promoted! We are so excited for this because it isn't just any regular promotion.. he was promoted meritoriously (spell check?) which means it was all based on his hard work. He is doing so well at recruiting. When he first started 2 1/2 years ago, he was having a really hard time and now he is the boss of his station. We are still SO looking forward for this recruiting thing to be done with though... it's way too rough on a marriage! He's done August 1st and after that we will be back at Camp Pendleton (yay!!)

I know what you're thinking... Brandi SUCKS at this blog thing!! Well, for some reason I'm unable to post pictures on this thing from my home computer.. so it all has to be done at my parents house. I'm going to try my best at posting more frequently.. consider it one of my New Year's resolutions! Our holiday season was a busy one! We spent Christmas day at my grandparents house and ended up with a ton of stuff.. especially the girls! We didn't have Kaylynn Christmas day, but Santa and my family were still very good to her! Paige LOVES all her new stuff! I think her favorites are her Dora couch, her "princess" dishes and her play food... she has such a great imagination, I always catch her "drinking" and "eating" and feeding her doll and stuffed animals. So cute!
