Starting Flashback Friday!

So i've seen this whole flashback friday on quite a few blogs I read and thought I would start it myself! Seems like fun! Each friday I will be posting some random older picture and giving a brief description of what it is... hence flashback friday.. enjoy!! Oh BTW, James came home the other day with a new computer AND scanner package so I will be blogging and posting picture MUCH more often! Happy Friday everyone!

This picture of Paige was taken May of last year. It was her first time in a swing.. she was only 8 months old! What a difference a year makes!

Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom -I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday. Before I was a Mom -I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom -I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom -I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom -I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.Before I was a Mom -I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important. Before I was a Mom -I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

Happy Mother's Day!

Back on track...

So lately i've REALLY been obsessing over my weight.. who am I kidding, I've always been obsessive! But lately i've decided that i'm really going to do something about it (yay me!) I've decided to do this weight loss tracker thing that I happened to come across. I figured it's a way to be accountable.. to myself I guess. I'm going to weigh in weekly and post my progress on this cute little ticker! I've started walking Kaylynn to school in the mornings, which is probably a total of 2 miles or so.. and when I can, I also go to the gym! Here's to getting healthy and back on track!!

Long over due.....

No, I haven't forgotten about my blog... I've just been pretty busy lately! On March 11th we welcomed our newest little addition, Luke Thomas. He weighed in at 8lbs 9 oz.. big boy! My labor with him was MUCH harder than with Paige.. even with the epidural! Thank goodness for epidurals though! I was induced the night before (just like with Paige) and he was born at 6:02 pm. The first couple of weeks were pretty tough.. actually, at times it's still pretty tough but he is now sleeping 6-7 hours at night (yay!!) He is already smiling all the time and cooing.. he's soo sweet! Paige and Kaylynn really love him. They always want to hold and kiss him and "help" as much as they can. Here is the most recent picture of Luke.. he's 7 weeks old already! For whatever reason I was unable to load the ones from the hospital onto this computer.. seriously me and my parents both need new computers! But heres my little man!..

Other big news, James and I are in the process of buying a house! It's a 4 bedroom 3 bath in Murrieta. Escrow closes on June 6th and after that we're going to be painting and installing new carpet! James' last day of recruiting in on July18th so the timing of the house couldn't be more perfect. We are SO excited to take this next big step as a family and are so thankful that God is providing us with such a nice place to raise our growing family! I don't have pictures yet, but as soon as I do, I will be posting for everyone to see! Hope everyone is doing well! God bless!
