Making Christmas Memories!

We truly had SUCH a magical Christmas this year. Our kids are right at the age where it's just SO fun and heart warming to watch their sweet, innocent faces fill with pure joy as they come down the stairs to see all that has been left for them! They are also at an age where I feel it is SO crucial to instill in them the TRUE meaning of Christmas which is the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! They all know that we are celebrating Jesus' birthday and that is TRULY the greatest gift of all! We attended our church's Christmas service 2 days before Christmas and it was such an AWESOME and inspiring service! SUCH a great way to re-focus even my own heart on the real reason for this season and not let the "hustle and the bustle" and the "stress" of the holidays distract me from that.

After our Christmas Eve festivities were through, James and I  Santa worked hard through the night to create a magical Christmas for the little ones!
This is the family tree.. all the presents from Mommy and Daddy.. plus the stockings filled by Santa :)

This is the kids tree and also where Santa leaves his gifts. They each got 3 from him this year. This year was the first year that we had a tree for just the kids and Kaylynn thought it was "SO cool" that Santa knew to leave all his gifts for them there... that's one smart Santa :)
The kids are awake, let the fun begin!!
Paigey got a princess art set, princess chair and leapster video game thing from Santa.
Luke got a Buzz chair, a bike (which he LOVES) and some little jumping toy :)
I think Kaylynn's favorite gift was her guitar from us. Santa brought her a motorized scooter, a tinkerbell skateboard and a barbie w/a horse.

Of course, Daddy and Kaylynn had to go right out and try out the power scooter!
 Ok Daddy, Kaylynn's turn!!

After we opened up our presents as a family, we had breakfast and then my parents, sister and grandparents came over to spend the rest of the day with us and SPOIL us all even more!

The adults all drew names before Thanksgiving so when the kids were through opening their presents, it was our turn!

 Me and my L*O*V*E
I think my Dad liked his gifts...
Grandma liked her gifts but does NOT like her pictures taken :)
My mom made my Grandpa a beautiful family picture album.. he spent the rest of the afternoon reminiscing with my Grandma as they looked through it together. It was so cute :)
 Can't forget about Toby dog!
I didn't take very many pictures after that because I was too busy playing with my kids and making memories with my family :) We had a GREAT Christmas and hope you all did too!

Christmas Eve 2010

We had such a FUN and memorable Christmas Eve this year! For the first time, We hosted Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! I'm looking forward to continuing that tradition because it was SO great! For some reason my pics posted all completely out of order.. this first one was supposed to be last and so on. I got sick of messing with it so here you go, Christmas Eve BACKWARDS!
This is the kids "Santa" tree at the end of the night and "Santa" made his arrival! And for whatever reason, our main tree picture didn't load at all!! UGH!
After all of our Christmas festivities, we ended our night playing Just Dance 2 on the wii!! Seriously the BEST game ever! I snapped these few shots of my cousins and then of my Mom and Aunt..So glad no one had the camera in hand when it was my turn..even though I DID beat them all! :)

The kids had a small gift exchange

Can you tell my poor son is teething?

Taylor Swift cd! Which plays quite nicely in my car:)

We also had an "Ugly Sweater" contest.. my Dad won and here he is showing his prize. His favorite, sweets! Again, these are all backwards :)
My parents and sister..so creative, yet hideous! I mean that in the nicest way :)

From my family to yours!

Merry Christmas!!!!!
"Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people.. For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Saviour, who is Christ the LORD!" Luke 2:11
How AWESOME is that verse?!?!

James' Reenlistment/Family from Oregon

Last week James had his reenlistment ceremony and I was SO proud to be able to go!

James' Dad and Step-mom were also in town last week so they were able to come as well :)

( Does his Dad remind you of anybody?? Keep reading and you'll see what i'm talking about)

Signing over another 4 years of his life to the government... :)

So proud of him!

After the ceremony, His Dad took us all out to lunch at Lucilles.. YUM!

Later on that night, we had a special visitor...
Luke wasn't too sure about him at first..

"You look so familiar"

and of course Santa came with gifts!

Can you believe how much he resembles Santa? Kinda freaky huh? haha!

Playin with all their goodies!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! We had a great time visiting with you!
Oh and I had to post this pic.. you might think it's inappropriate, we all think it's HILARIOUS!

Toby liked Santa too!
I apologize if I offended anyone with my dog's behavior! haha!!
