A sweet treat.. Cheesecake Sopapilla bars!

I tried this new recipe over the weekend and it was a BIG hit with my family so I had to share :)
Of course I found it on Pinterest but I think it originated from the Pillsbury website :)

Cheesecake Sopapilla Bars:
you will need-
2 cans crescent rolls ( I used the reduced fat)
2 (8oz) packages of cream cheese (I once again used reduced fat)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
  1. preheat your oven to 350
  2. Unroll 1 can of crescents and lay flat in the bottom of a 9x13 pan.. pinch any open seams closed)
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla until combined and smooth
  4. Spread this over top of crescent rolls.
  5. Unroll remaining can of crescent rolls and lay on top of mixture, again pinching closed any open seams.
  6. Pour melted butter on top of crescent rolls
  7. In a bowl mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon and sprinkle evenly on top
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until top is golden brown
Let cool for 20 minutes and then put in the fridge to cool completely before cutting

I was good and had only 1 small piece but trust me, you will want more. They are so delish!

My life in an Instagram!

Another Thursday, another link up with Liz! I LOVE instagram.. I'm really starting to feel like a professional photgrapher because of it..Ha! Anyways, here are my pics for the week!
Having fun at a friends house! My kids would LOVE to have one of these things!
Father's day Lunch at Lucille's.. We love Daddy!
James' new shades! Not really, but we had a lot of fun trying them on :)
 My love!
We started shopping at the commissary on base now.. SO much cheaper than ANY other grocery store, BTW! BUT these little shopping carts.. although very cute, cause much more stress than help! I'm trying to figure out when to do my shopping now so my kids aren't breaking peoples legs with these cute little things! :)
We are SLOWLY making progress on the potty training with my goofy boy!
New baby hummingbirds in a nest right on my Grandma's driveway.. so sweet!
I took this picture Sunday.. the weather out here is freakin hot little warm but as you can see we have a cooldown starting tomorrow.. ha! At least I'll burn calories sweating, right?!?!

Happy Father's Day!

Exploring (kinda) our new area :)

Even though I have lived in Southern California my entire life, I have NEVER been to the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area! Since there isn't much to do (at all) especially on weekends in 29 Palms, we decided to venture out and see what there is to do out here! Palm Desert is the closest city to us that has a mall and a lot of restaurants/things do to and it is about 1 1/2 hours from where we're living :)
We drove past the Palm Springs air museum. Luke was VERY interested in the airplanes and we plan to go back one day to check them all out!

Olive Garden for lunch always puts a smile on our faces :)

We also took the kids to see Madagascar 3.. SUCH a cute movie! The kids loved it!

Fun day!

My life in an Instagram!

Look at me, I am on a blogging ROLL! :)
Today, I'm linking up with Liz for another 'My life in an instagram" post! Love this!
My 2 crazies playing Daddy's work boots one day after he got home.. Notice Luke's eyes? I swear he ALWAYS makes funny faces, especially when I want to take a picture of him.. He's so funny :)
Mama NEEDED ice cream, so off we go to Rite Aide. I also let them enjoy a scoop :)
 Me and my boy :)
Family photo booth fun waiting for Madagascar 3 to start!
I think this one speaks for itself!
Link up.. you'll love it!

More Splashing fun

The kids and I have been exploring in our new area. I've been trying to get out of the house a little each day. If you know the Twentynine Palms area, there isn't a lot to do here at all. Like seriously :) But The base out here really does offer a lot to us Military families and I am SO thankful for that!
Last friday, we ventured out to the splash park on base. The kids loved it and I was able to get acquainted with a few ladies that are in the Military MOPS group and the CWF (Christian Women's fellowship) God really does put you at the right place at the right time and I have so much more of a positive outlook on living here!

I just LOVE instagram! Only through that can I pretend I'm a professional photo editor! LOL!

I have a feeling we'll be splashing A LOT this summer.. It was already 102 degrees here today! YIKES!

Disneyland!

The morning we left the beach, we had a FUN surprise for the kids!
Disneyland!
We dont go very often (James doesn't like it..crazy right?!? but one day, our family WILL have annual passes:) Anyways.. Disneyland has this GREAT deal going on right now for Military members. It's $100 per person for a 3 day park hopper!! So we actually will be going 2 more days.. I think you have until September 30th to take advantage of this deal so go DO it!
We started with a big yummy breakfast at Denny's and then didn't tell the kids where we were going until we pulled into the Disneyland parking structure.. so fun! :)

 Yay! We're here!!!
First stop, as requested by Paige was the Ariel ride in California Adventure.. so cute!

Then onto Toy Story Mania.. One of our faves :)
Any guesses who this man is walking up the stairs in the black???
Oh yes, that is ALBERT PUJOLS! He was exiting the ride as were getting on so I grabbed my phone as quick as I could and snapped that shot. We were hoping to run into him again since James was all decked out in his Angel gear, but it didn't happen.. Oh well!
 Autopia!
Love how you can only see Luke's eyes! Kaylynn was about 5 cars ahead of us and I wasn't able to get a shot of her :(
Paige told me she didn't think I was driving very well.. even though I was the one pushing the pedal, not actually steering the wheel LOL!
They all fit right in with Goofy! One of my favorite pictures from the day!

Looks to me like he likes Disneyland.. Don't you think??

We stayed in a hotel that night out in Anaheim. We were all exhausted by the time we got there at 11! This was the kids outside our room first thing in the morning. They loved staying in a hotel!
 View from the elevator
We had such a great time and can't wait to do it again.. well except James.. haha!
