My Hubby's Birthday :)

Back on July 28th, We celebrated my favorite persons birthday :) The big 34!

My mom and grandparents watched the kids and we were able to do a little shopping, go to dinner and go to an Angel game. We had so much fun :)
We went to dinner at a place called Bubba Jack's. We both had never heard of the place and it happened to be on the way so he decided we would go there :) Seriously SO yummy! I had Salmon and it was the best Salmon i've ever had.. No I am NOT being dramatic :) Another thing I loved was that they serve their drinks in Mason Jars.. I love drinking tea out of mason jars, makes me feel southern and talk with an accent :) This was the only picture I took at the restaurant.. oops!
Then we were off to see our Angels play! I surprised him with tickets and I was almost able to keep it a surprise ;)

By this point he was OVER pictures.. he says all of our pictures look the same. I disagree.
Such a fun day! Happy Birthday, James! I love you!!

So..

Happy Tuesday!
Like I mentioned before, we finally got a house on base and are still in the process of getting settled in. That right there is why there hasn't been another post on my weight loss. I was doing awesome and then we got word on the house and the 10 days or so of meals after that looked a lot like this:
Not ALL of them but, WAY too many and man was I feeling it! Not working out and a crappy diet really had me in a funk for about a week. I have started planning ALL my meals again and keeping track through the MFP (my fitness pal) app.  This is more along the lines of what I'm eating now-

Chicken Parmesan Bake recipe from mykitchenescapades.com. And I used Greek Yogurt in it, NOT mayo! I measured the ingredients and divided them equally on each chicken breast and it comes out to about 180 calories per 4oz of chicken!

One (of the many) things I love about living on base is that there is a small cardio room about 2 minutes away from my house. There are also 2 other gyms on base in addition to the boot camp workout I do that is at a park (which is also right down the street :) The boot camp is the closest thing to CrossFit I can find out here! Anyways, I started doing the C25K program tonight and so far I am really liking it- as much as I can like running I guess ;) I have always been so afraid and so nervous when it comes to running so I figured this would be a good way to ease myself into and slowly build up my endurance. Once it cools off outside I will get off of the treadmill and hit the pavement but for now, this will do.
Oh the dreaded before pictures.. Not sure how often I will take these but I wanted something to look back on and compare. UGH! I'm going to start looking through OLD pictures to show you all what I looked like before I lost my initial 45lbs.. I really have come such a long way already which goes to show that I CAN do more and I will and I AM!

A quick little update

Things got BUSY over here last 10 days or so which = No blog updates! We are F-I-N-A-L-L-Y in base housing and HALLELUJAH we have air conditioning.. Thank you LORD! I don't know how much longer I would have kept my sanity in that tiny little temporary HOT place! Don't get me wrong, I am really SO thankful that we even found a temporary furnished place that was so close to the base. But it was definitely time to get out of it :) We are still getting settled and making this house a home and will update on that a little later.

Moving on...  :)

We took the kids to the Ice Cream social at the library on base and the kids were in HEAVEN! It was only for the kids, James looks a little jealous don't ya think?

Later that evening was the Operation Homefront back to school brigade where all of the school aged kids get FREE school supplies! Paige isn't starting Kindergarten until next year but I registered and went and got Kaylynns stuff for this upcoming school year. She is at her Mom's for the summer or else she would have picked everything out herself. But Seriously, we got SO MUCH STUFF! I got her a Roxy backpack, 3 ring binder, lined paper, 2 spiral notebooks, packs of pens, pencils, markers, crayons, highlighters, erasers and more that I can't think of right now. They even had a little section for the younger siblings to fill a big ziplos bag full of goodies.
Paige with her loot!
My babies also started swim lessons! Paige loved them! Luke, he tolerated them :) He did SO well the first week and then started crying a lot but they still both did really well and learned a lot. Luke is definitely much braver when I take him in the water with me but these swim lessons were really good for him :)
 Strike a pose!

Enjoying popsicles on their last day
We also had family visit from Indiana. My great aunt Eva ( my grandpas sister) and her daughter Janet spent a week at my Grandparents house and we met them for dinner one of the nights.

More soon :)
