Spotlight on Kaylynn

Kaylynn has been quite a busy 4th grader lately!

She has had 2 recent choir performances. One at a local high school, where they sang Firework by Katy Perry AND received a standing ovation and another at her school's friday flag ceremony.

 This was the choir's performance at the "friday flag" spirit rally. It was a flash mob performance of Party Rocker.. I think that was the name of the song.. George Strait doesn't sing it so I'm not sure exactly what the name of the song is ;)

AND Kaylynn also received the BUG (Bringing Up a Grade) award!

She brought her science grade up from a "C" to an "A"

 She is now getting all A's and B's!!!

 AWESOME job Kaylynn!!! SO extremely proud of you!!!

Helping Daddy "Fix the Twuck"

My parents got Luke a tool box for his birthday and the first chance he got, he was asking to help Daddy  "fix the twuck".. So one morning after church, that's exactly what they did!

 As girly as Paigey is, she still loves helping Daddy fix things and playing with tools too

Little Man turned THREE!!!!

I seriously can't believe that my baby is THREE!!! Such a big number for a baby! I know.. complete denial.. Oh well :)

We had a spiderman themed party for the big boy. Super hero squad seems to be his thing right now.. he's into spiderman, wolverine, hulk, all those boy things :) We REALLY need to invest in a better camera because MOST of my pictures did not turn out! SO bummed!!!

Valentine's Day

Yes, I realize Valentine's day was over a month ago.. obviously I have had a little bit of trouble staying up to date on this blog. I will do my best at updating more frequently.. for the 5 of you that actually read this thing.. haha :)

Anywho...

We had a pretty low key V-day this year. Our day started out with a leadership meeting at MOPS and then in the evening I had a friend and her son over for some heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphys, (if you haven't had this place, you MUST.. it is THEE best!) cheesecake and some homemade chocolate covered strawberries!

 James spoiled me with some flowers, chocolates, more chocolate covered strawberries, an itunes gift card and an adorable book with the cutest little old couple on it :)

 We bought our little Valentines something sweet, too.. they each got 2 small boxes of chocolates.

Luke was there and got his own sweets, he just wasn't a fan of the camera that night.. little stinker :)
